Zusammenfassung

1989 rief ich bei Felix Klee an: »… würden Sie mir bitte erzählen …« Wir trafen uns öfter und ich zeichnete unser Gespräch auf. Seitdem beschäftigte ich mich mit Klee und Familie Klees Münchner Wohnung. Als bildender Künstler versuchte ich verschiedene Methoden der »Korrespondenz« mit Klee und begleitete diese Arbeiten mit Forschungen. Ein Ergebnis solcher Forschungen war »Paul Klee in Landshut 1916«: Zwitscher-Maschine No. 2. Im zweiten Text wollte ich berichten, was sich in der Klee’schen Wohnung ereignete und mit Zitaten authentisch in diese »hineinschauen«. Dann aber berichteten Paul- Lily- und Felix Klee selbst und meine Aufgabe wurde die des »Moderators« – und auch Maria und Franz Marc, Kandinsky, Münter, Elisabeth und August Macke, Kubin … meldeten sich zu Wort. Die Runde erweiterte sich. Das »Gespräch« habe ich in der Form eines Theaterskripts wiedergegeben. Es gibt Episoden: NETTE KLEINE WOHNUNG … und Angaben zu Zeit und Ort: wann, von wo aus wird »gesprochen«. Erzählt wird von Lily und Paul Klees Hochzeit in Bern bis zu deren Umzug nach Weimar, von 1916 – 1921. Alle Texte sind richtige Zitate, aber manchmal gekürzt, umgestellt oder der gesprochene Rede vorsichtig angepasst. Durchkreuzt wird lineare Erzählzeit ab und zu von FELIX KLEE und mir im Gespräch 1989. Er erzählte immer: »unsere dunkle Schwabinger Wohnung«. Dem Licht dort wollte ich nachforschen. Nach den Bauplänen von 1900 baute ich Modelle und malte mit deren Hilfe eine Serie von Schwarzaquarellen. Zehn solche Bilder machen »Blicke« in Zimmer, von denen hier erzählt wird, möglich.

Summary

In 1989 I called Felix Klee: »... would you please tell me about...« We met often and I recorded our conversation. Since then I have been working with Klee and the Klee’s Munich apartment. As a visual artist I tried various methods of »correspondence« with Klee and accompanied these works with research. One result of such research was »Paul Klee in Landshut 1916«: Twittering Machine No. 2 In the second text I wanted to report what happened in Klee's apartment using quotations to »look into it« authentically. But then Paul-Lily and Felix Klee themselves reported and my task became that of »moderator« - and Maria and Franz Marc, Kandinsky, Münter, Elisabeth and August Macke, Kubin... also spoke out. The round widened. I reproduced the »conversation« in the form of a theater script. There are episodes: NICE SMALL APARTMENT... and information on time and place: when, and from where is »spoken«. It tells of Lily and Paul Klee's wedding in Bern up to their move to Weimar, from 1916 - 1921: all texts are correct quotations, but they are sometimes shortened, rearranged or carefully adapted to the conversation. From time to time FELIX KLEE and I interrupt the linear narrative in 1989. He always tells of »our dark Schwabing apartment«. I wanted to investigate the light there. According to the building plans of 1900 I built models and painted a series of black and white water colours with their help. Ten such pictures give »views« into the rooms of these is told here.
